Watch out for dozens of Foster4Leeds carers and colleagues at Leeds Pride 2017 on Sunday 6 August.
They'll be spreading the word that Leeds is wholly inclusive when it comes to fostering and we need more LGBT carers to step forward.
And when it's not Leeds Pride
If you're lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans, we are pleased you are considering Foster4Leeds.
Leeds is a city committed to recruiting more LGB&T* foster carers.
Take Ian and Kevin who, after a positive application, have gone on to foster Mark – short-term initially, with Mark still being fostered here four years later.
Their success means Ian and Kevin are looking to foster again, while Ian has undertaken a role with Foster4Leeds to recruit new carers – particularly among the LGB&T* community.
This ebook shows how Leeds as a city supports LGB&T*.
Further afield, Foster4Leeds is a big supporter of New Family Social, the organisers of LGB&T* Fostering and Adoption Week.
Visit newfamilysocial.org.uk and you will find a great array of resources detailing the experiences and advice of others who've chosen to foster.
